Davcar Horse floats carry a 2-year structural warranty on the chassis and frame under normal use and service, workmanship, parts and painting. (Excluding light bulbs) Modifications not carried out or approved by Davcar Engineering will void this Warranty. This trailer is fitted with Electric brakes, you will need an in car brake controller for the brakes to operate.

It is the responsibility of the owner to regularly inspect the seal around the rubber floor and tailgate sheets for damage, if this occurs the damaged seal can let water to penetrate the plywood and severely limit the service life of the floor or tail gate. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to check the wheel nuts after 200 km and regularly inspect their new trailer for damage or wear that may result in unsafe operation.

It is the responsibility of the purchaser to know the maximum trailer weight their vehicle is legally allowed to tow and the GTM (gross trailer mass) of their new trailer, failure to do so may void any warranty claim.

It is the responsibility of the purchaser to have the wheel bearings checked and adjusted 3 months after the delivery of their new trailer. Failure to do this may result in warranty being declined on wheel bearings failures. Documented proof of this may be required for wheel bearing claims.

  1. Davcar Engineering should approve any possible warranty claims prior to the work being undertaken. Failure to do so may result in the warranty claim being declined.
  2. Davcar Engineering recommends keeping your horse float clean and dry inside to protect your investment. The wheel bearings should be checked every 12 months and the tailgate hinges and suspension should be greased periodically.
  3. The tyre pressure is recommended to be maintained at 42 psi / 294 kpa for all floats. This is to maintain correct carrying capacity.
